Application

When you receive your vinyl graphics you will notice an application tape over the vinyl image. This application tape can be a clear tape or a masking style tape. The application tape is what holds your image/lettering in alignment until it is placed.

  • The first step is to make sure the surface you are applying the graphic to is clean and free from dirt. Clean the area well.

  • Vinyl graphics are best applied when the temprature is above 65°, this allows to the adhesieve to bond to the surface .

  • Once placement is determined, peel away the paper backing from the graphic to expose the adhesieve. (Sometimes it is good to rub over the image with a credit card to make sure it is all stuck to the application tape before removing it from the backing.)

  • Now position the graphic and place on surface. Apply the graphic evenly to avoid wirkles and bubbles from being trapped under the vinyl. There are also numerous way to place the graphic "wet" using a water/soap solution to allow easier placement of larger graphics.

  • Rub over the image to insure good adhension. Pay close attention to smaller parts of the graphic, such as the dots on "i's" and other small details. (This can also be done with a credit card.)

  • You can now slowly peel back the application tape and see the finished product.
